Family Support
Exchange House Family Support Team operates a Resource Centre five mornings a week from 9.30am –12.30pm. This is often the service users’ first point of contact with Exchange House.

The Family Support Team has a Team Leader Joanne Ryan and two Social Workers, Aoife O'Brien and Martina McGovern. The team also includes family support workers Rebecca Dunne and Jules McDonagh. Patricia Sagasta provides therapeutic family support and developmental programmes.

The Family Support Team constantly looks for innovative ways to work on a preventive level. Working closely with families, they are in a position to identify potential problems before they surface. This is one of the key ways they make a difference to service users.

The expertise available within the Team ensures that a holistic response can be delivered to the Traveller community in terms of prevention, crisis intervention and development.

The Family Support Service is funded by the Health Service Executive
