New Vacant Positions

Exchange House National Travellers Service, through the support of the National Office for Suicide Prevention, now wishes to recruit the following:


Suicide Awareness Trainer/Facilitator with the Traveller community

Working within the Exchange House Family Support Service and National Traveller Suicide Awareness Project (NTSAP) the post holder will, through a community development approach, work to outreach, deliver and develop culturally appropriate suicide awareness programmes and training on prevention, intervention and post-vention. Programmes will include safeTALK, ASIST and other relevant training including a focus on grief and bereavement. The post holder will act as a resource both to Traveller organisations and mental health/suicide related services to raise awareness on the issue of suicide in the Traveller community and promote the development of culturally responsive preventative and proactive services for Travellers.

Salary as per the HSE Professionally Qualified Social Worker scale, starting at €38,819, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is a full time 40 hours per week
