Moving On - National Roundtable

Exchange House Ireland held a National Roundtable today with a focus on a "call to action" for Sports bodies and Traveller organisations and other interested parties to come together to make practical responses to the findings in our Moving On research: Access to Sport for Roma, Sinti & Travellers in Europe.

The event was an interactive one, with participants both reacting digitally and verbally

The participants considered 3 concrete action recommendations:

The development of Inclusion Modules in Sports Training
A Traveller and Roma Sports Directory
A National Action Panel

There was much enthusiasm about the 3 actions and many agreed that working within the Irish Government's National Traveller and Roma Inclusion Strategy 2024-2028 and with Sport Ireland real action can be taken.
