Community Employment Scheme [CE]

The Exchange House Ireland Community Employment (CE) Scheme, funded by the Department of Social Protection, offers participants an opportunity to engage in useful work within their communities on a part-time temporary, fixed-term basis. To be accepted on the CE programme you will need 18 years or over and in receipt of a social welfare payment. Minimum Department of Social Protection (DSP) rates apply.

The Exchange House Ireland Education and Training Service works to ensure that CE participants have the opportunity to gain skills that will assist them in entering the job market and or return to education.

The Exchange House Ireland CE scheme is made up of members of the Irish Traveller community who are diverse in terms of age, education and skill levels.

The Community Employment is made up of two major parts, training and direct employment. The training provided through CE is delivered within a Quality Assurance framework.
